Angeles Peña

The other day I came across the work of Angeles Peña. Her photographs are very organic, soft and intimate. She has a wide array of beautiful work and I suggest checking her out!

Camping

Saturday night Chris and I went camping with his parents in Michigan. I got mosquito bites on my butt and it got cold at night, but I still find camping fun. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Hugh Kretschmer

I was recently introduced to Hugh Kretschmer, who makes very creative and conceptual photo illustrations. I appreciate what he does because his work is so inventive and fun at the same time.

Baudouin

I find it very difficult to create portraits personalized to each individual while remaining aesthetically interesting and even quirky, so when I come across a photographer who successfully accomplishes all of these qualities in their work I am in awe. Baudouin creates such individualized environments for each portrait, he makes the viewer feel as if they have had a conversation with the subject by just looking at a photo. His subjects often become a part of the environment, which I love.

Road Trip

Saturday, August 27, 2011 § 0

At this time last Saturday, I was driving home from a road trip to Florida. Chris and I drove from Toledo, OH to Memphis, TN where we visited his brother, Joe, and Joe's fiancée, Emily. We had hoped our visit would leave us closer to our destination in the Largo area. But since we didn't bother to look into this, and we are both geographically challenged, our drive from Memphis to Largo ended up being much longer than anticipated. Last Saturday we decided to make the 16-hour drive from Largo to Toledo in one haul, which was surprisingly painless. I love road trips because of the freedom they allow, but the biggest downfall is the horrible coffee selection when on the road. These are just a few of my favorite pictures from our trip.

Tim Macpherson

I'm not typically a fan of extremely stylized photography, but some photographers such as Tim Macpherson create breathtaking work. Macpherson's work is set up and sometimes chaotic, while always remaining clean and even minimal at the same time.

Danger

It's nice to come across a photographer with a sense of humor, and itsabitblurry definitely has one. This photographer notices the little things most would just pass right by while keeping it lighthearted.

Kitty

I have never been a fan of cats until the past year, but now I love them. I have a cat named Leonard and he's like my best friend. He likes to chase feathers and run his head into my leg when I walk. Here are some cool cat pictures I found.

Just a few photos from how I spent my birthday. These photos and more can also be seen on my photostream.

My first time at a fair, at 23 years old. I guess I tend to prefer the city.

I felt bad for the animals because it was so hot. Look at it's cute lil piggy face... This is why I can't eat meat anymore.

Beauty pageant for chickens? I don't know.
